At Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas stands the Statue of Union — Abhaya Hanuman, 90 feet tall, the tallest statue of Hanuman in North America. It is named for what Hanuman did: he united Sri: Ra:ma with Sita, and he unites communities today.
Consecrated on August 18, 2024 at 9:09 AM after a three-day prana pratishtha, the statue draws devotees from across the continent for weekly Abhaya Hanuman seva, Sundarakanda parayanam, and the chant Swamiji gave it: O:m Sundara Se:thave: Namaha.
