pilgrimage instead of a lifetime of travel
The 108 Divya Desams — the temples sung by the Azhvars, scattered from Badarinath in the Himalayas to Thiruvananthapuram in the south, some now inaccessible — have been recreated in full around the Statue of Equality, each in its authentic regional architectural style.
A devotee who could never complete the all-India pilgrimage of a lifetime can now walk it in a single day: suprabhatham, abhishekam, kalyanam and havanam are performed across the shrines every morning, and every seva is open for devotees to book.
