For fourteen days in February 2022, the millennium celebration of Ra:ma:nuja:cha:rya's birth consecrated the Statue of Equality with the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Maha Krathuvu — a twelve-day yagna performed in 1,035 fire altars by 5,000 ritwiks, with all seven surviving branches of the four Ve:da:s recited in full.
Soil and consecrated idols were brought from 108 pilgrimage sites; ten crore repetitions of the Ashtakshari manthra were offered by devotees worldwide; annadanam ran around the clock. Scholars called it the largest Ve:dic ritual gathering in living memory.
