Hunger is not only an ocean away. In Houston, the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, VT Seva and Prajna volunteers partner with Kids' Meals Inc. to prepare and deliver free nutritious meals to underprivileged preschool children — 65,000 meals so far.
Volunteers, including families with children, serve two-hour Sunday shifts that count toward Presidential Volunteer Service hours — seva a five-year-old can do beside her parents.
