When the 2004 tsunami struck, when cyclones flattened coastal Andhra, when floods drowned Kerala and Hyderabad, when COVID froze the world — Vikasa Tarangini volunteers were among the first to arrive with food, water, medicine and rebuilding hands.
The organization's documented relief record runs unbroken from 1997 to the present: a standing army of 5,000+ trained volunteers who can mobilize in hours, because they already serve every ordinary day.
