The Ve:da:s once flowed in 1,131 distinct recensions; today only twelve survive anywhere on earth. The Jeeyar Ve:dic Schools at JIVA, Varija, Ve:da: Bhavan, Guntur, Samshabad, Vizag and Karimnagar were founded to make sure not one more is lost.
Students live the classical gurukulam life — memorizing their Ve:dic branch with perfect intonation — while also learning computers, music, art and sports, and serving in the gosala. They graduate as scholars equally at home in the yagnashala and the modern world.
