Nethra Vidyalaya asks a question few schools dare: what if blindness were no barrier at all? Its residential campuses at JIVA (Hyderabad) and Varija (Visakhapatnam) give visually-challenged children everything free — housing, meals, Braille and screen-reader classrooms, music, leadership training — from primary school through junior college and a degree.
The results speak: students have taken 14 medals at the 12th National Paralympics, five golds at the 2026 National Para Swimming championships, and its women's blind-cricket teams compete in national tournaments. Over 2,600 children have walked in without sight and walked out with a future.
