Why Every Family Should Be There
01
The rarest of auspicious evenings
August 28 is a Friday — Maha: Lakshmi's own day — falling on Sra:vana Purnima, the full moon of the most sacred month for Lakshmi worship. This triple conjunction of Sra:vana ma:sam, Purnima, and Shukrava:ram comes only once in years.
02
The power of samuhika worship
When one family prays, one sankalpam rises. When 108 families invoke Maha: Lakshmi together under one roof, every family shares in the collective punya of all — our scriptures teach that merit multiplies when devotees gather as one.
03
Your own sankalpam, guided step by step
This is not a pu:ja you watch — it is a pu:ja you perform. Each family offers worship at its own kalasham, with its own sankalpam in your name and go:thram, while our resident priest guides every step. No prior experience needed; all materials are provided.
04
108 — the sacred number
From the 108 Divya Desams to the 108 names of the Goddess, the number 108 carries the fullness of creation. To be one of the 108 families is to hold one of 108 sacred places in this collective offering.
05
Blessings for the whole family
Maha: Lakshmi is invoked for prosperity and abundance — and equally for health, harmony at home, success in studies and work, and the removal of obstacles. The pu:ja closes with a:rathi and prasa:dam for every family.
06
Open to all, free to participate
In Swa:mi:ji's tradition, no one is turned away from worship. Registration is free. Families who wish to may sponsor a seva — flowers, prasa:dam, or the pu:ja itself — but every family's place at the pu:ja is a gift.
