Questions

Good to know

›Is there a cost to attend?

No. Attendance is free, as on every day of the consecration. Sponsorships are optional offerings in your family's name.

›What does 'with Vigrahams' mean?

A sponsorship at $251 is performed with a set of Si:tha-Ra:ma vigrahams (small deities) in your family's name. Please confirm the take-home details with the a:cha:ryas at the Registration desk — we will update this line once the priests finalise it.

›What should we wear or bring?

Traditional attire is requested. Akshata is provided. Families are welcome to bring flowers or a fruit plate for the nive:dana.

›Can children take part?

Yes. Children offering akshata at the ma:ngalya dha:rana is one of the most loved moments of the evening.

›Where do we park?

Follow the parking marshals from Beverly Rancocas Rd. The Pra:na Prathishtta day is the busiest of the five — arrive by 5:30 PM for a seat.

›Is this the same as the morning Sa:nthi Kalya:nam?

No. The morning Sa:nthi Kalya:nam (10:30 AM – 1:30 PM) follows the Pra:na Prathishtta inside the ritual programme. The evening Si:tha-Ra:ma Kalya:nam at 6 PM is the grand community kalya:nam with the Pallaki Se:va.

Monday, November 16 · the Pra:na Prathishtta day

Part of a five-day consecration

The morning brings the Maha: Pra:na Prathishtta and Kumbha Pro:kshana by His Holiness at the 9:30 AM muhu:rtham. The Kalya:nam closes the day. Stay for all five days if you can.
