Sacred Vows

Deekshas

A deeksha is a sacred undertaking — a vow of devotional discipline sustained over days or weeks, with discourse and guidance from our ācārya, leading the devotee into the presence of the Lord.

Sri Maha Lakshmi Deeksha

A sacred vow invoking the grace of Sri Maha Lakshmi — Sriman Narayana's eternal consort and the source of all auspiciousness, wealth, and well-being.

The Maha Lakshmi Deeksha is undertaken with daily upavasa, archana, and the chanting of Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtottara Shata Namavali. Devotees observe sattvic discipline, offer kumkuma archana, and recite the Sri Suktam through the period of the deeksha. Discourse and step-by-step guidance from HH Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji are included in the recording linked here.
