A Symbol of Unity for All
Envisioned by His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji (Padma Bhushan), the Statue of Union stands as a living testament to Hanuman’s eternal message: that true strength lies in devotion, unity, and selfless service. Rising 90 feet at Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas, it is the tallest Hanuman statue in North America.
Three bridges at the statue’s base symbolize the unity of humans with animals, the unity of diverse peoples of the world, and transcendence over ego — representing Hanuman’s role as the eternal bridge between the divine and all creation. Installed in March 2023, the vision was brought to life and inaugurated in a grand four-day ceremony August 15–18, 2024.
